Affiliate marketing involves the promotion of a website by a person known as the affiliate. He is the one who acts as the middleman between the merchant and the customer. The nature of an affiliate's job is to advertise and promote a merchant's website through his own.

As this particular website is visited by surfers and browsers, they get to see the links that are listed or displayed there. The third is by starting a linking campaign that would encourage other website owners to supply links to an affiliate marketer's website provided that the owner return the favor. This way, one is able to furnish more links into his website ? links that will ultimately provide him more chances of generating traffic, and consequently, sales.

The fourth is by starting a newsletter and submitting it to as many websites as possible. The last is by joining an online forum so that the affiliate marketer is always knowledgeable about current products and marketing trends.
